My buff duck is not buff!?!?

I took a look at some Saxony ducks just now, I have never seen them before. and the similarities are striking. There is no blueish or greyish tint to her though . . . is it really possible that I was lucky enough to get such a rare bird as a mistake?

maybe a pekin runner mix. or a hatchery fawn and white runner.

I think she is just a silly hatchery buff...i've seen some come out with white in the wings...she just has a lot of white!
I'm sure she'll still make a lovely companion for your other duck...

She looks like the commercial fawn and white runners I've had in the past. They weren't very upright, but they were awesome layers! They outlay the show-type ones.

She's a nice duck but definately not buff or fawn and white as those colours are based on the dusky gene. Your duck is based on light phase wild type which is why she has the eye striping. She looks to be a saxony cross but also shows some restricted genes as in the appleyard. In any case she is nice.
