Yes, left is a GP male, right is a CB female, and I believe the slate is a female as well.

I guess I am talking over the span of the past ten years or so.. I have heard quite a bit about it! The old guys that have had their birds forever consider it bible not to mix the species, even though they may not have known exaclty why ten years ago.. People need to catch on, it is 2011 for heaven's sake!

Yeah.. And I know it is sad having a lone chick, but maybe you could look on Craigslist for a buddy for him or something like that? I am sure he would enjoy socializing with one of his own kind, as opposed to temporary friends that are nothing like him! How long has it been since they all hatched?

Yep, no use preaching to the ones who are not willing/capable to accept/learn it. I'm done too.

lol, no sorry. There is only 1 person around here with button quail that I know of and she gave me these ones as eggs. I might just get another male from her for housing and eggs, when I can get some unrelated birds of the same color I might hatch some eggs from them.
