My call duck has been acting weird ever since yesterday. What are signs of her being eggbound? PLEASE PLEASE answer. I am so worried.

Hi if a duck or chicken is egg bound the only thing you can do is keep her warm until you can get her to a vet, there are things you can do but if you are inexperienced i wouldnt reccomend it. being egg bound can be both painful and fatal to a bird you need to get her to a vet ASAP!

sorry i should have explained, keeping her warm will help to relax the oviduct and possibly encourage her to pass the egg. the only thing you can do is get her to a vet if you are sure she is egg bound

No, I'm not sure she is eggbound. What are the signs? Instead of being eggbound, I hope she is going to lay her first egg soon. I just put her in a warm bathtub and at first, she was scared and stayed in the corner. Then, she starte playing and cleaning herself. She was all muddy for a while. Now, she is back outside. How long will she live if she is eggbound. She is over a year and she hasn't been laying that I have known of. I got her at an suction last year. Would she be lethargic if she was bound? Maybe she was stiff from the mud???

My apologies it was very late here in the UK when i replied, and i fell asleep!
symptoms of egg binding include sitting on the floor for long periods of time and excessive straining, there will also be swelling around the vent and droppings will be much larger, the bigger the dropping gets the closer the egg is to the cloacae (butt)

What is it that makes you think she is egg bound?
sounds like she hasnt laid her first egg yet? could you just be seeing her going through the motions of her first lay?

i hope this is helpful

She was sitting around more and didn't quack as much. She was shaking her tail, like she usually does. I think after the bath she feels better. She quacks more. Her vent isn't swelling that I can tell, and her droppings are pretty small. She is at least 1 and a half or 2 years old and I haven't seen an egg yet!

maybe consult a vet just to set your mind at ease, it doesnt sound like egg binding to me but you'd be better off getting professional advice
