Thought I would post some photos of my call ducks. They are growing so fast and are now a month old. This is them from day old ducklings until now...

cute cute! My youngest are almost 3 months old the one is the same shape as yours they grow up to be like mini normal ducks (more streemlined) which i personally like! I like the bodies on SQ calls too but I like the mini normal duck body better

I'd love some white calls.

Thanks. What kind of calls do you have? I'd love some BEIs. If my white calls were of laying age, I'd offer to exchange some white call eggs for BEI eggs.

Well maybe next year we can swip swap?

My BEIs are just day olds right now. I have 3 rare blue east indies, and 1 black east indies

They are soo darn cute and imprinted on me right away.

I also have 4 pet quality (streemlined) call ducks

and a pair of mallards

I was planning on just letting my BEIs interbreed with the rest of my ducks but since I hatched out the even rarer blue east indies i may pair them off during breeding i'm not 100% sure yet but if I do i'd deffnatly love to trade!

Thanks. I got the eggs from a woman in Tennessee.... nice woman. She breeds several varieties of calls. I happen to get some from her near the end of the laying season. Got 6 eggs... 5 hatched and the 6th died right before hatch. One of the ducklings got suffocated at a couple of days old by the hen. So I ended up with these four.

Monarc23,

I added you to my buddy list. If you are still interested in trading when our birds start laying again (presumably late winter - early spring), then let me know and we can do so. I've been trying to get my hands on some BEI eggs for some time. What is the difference in a blue and a black? Do they actually have a blue sheen?

thanks and and sounds good to me!

as for black and blue, the difference is major,
smile.png
One is a blue (grey) feathered bird at adult the other is black with beetle green sheen

Heres the babies just took pictures of them a few moments ago. Blues are so rare that theres no adult pictures online of them! LOL! No duckling pictures too, until now :::

from comparision of blue cayugas I'd say that the blues dont have the brilliant sheen that the blacks do in adult feathering but i can't say that for sure until my cuties feather out. I'm a big fan of blues so I am loving this

The blacks deffiantly do have a green (not blue
smile.png
) sheen they call it beetle green. I guess it's brilliant in the sunlight
