My cat is winking at me

I wish I had some advice for you on your cat. How long has she been winking?

I had to take my senior cat off dry food and now feed exclusively canned catfood - pate style because otherwise he licks off all the gravy and leaves the chunks in his bowl. Then they get hard/dry and I need to scrape them out when I clean his bowl. He had been throwing up almost every time he ate the dry food, dumb cat fills his tummy with dry food, then goes and gets a huge drink of water. The food swells up from teh water and he pukes it all over the house...

My Boots is 19 years old and is missing one of his fangs. He has slight gum problems and is prone to dehydration. He has elevated kidney levels, so he is starting to go downhill. I had to put his sister down back in April, so he is extremely lonely.

Aww poor thing. Sashas been winking for the past two days. She seemed normal this morning...just tired but arent all cats? Im not worried about her vomiting. She has a tendency to stuff as much food as she can get in her mouth and then walk away. Then puke not much later. She insists on eating once every hour. Its worse with the wet food because she will try and sit and eat the whole can. We tried doing "meal feeding" but i was worried she wasnt eating enough because she will eat a nibble here and there. Before i knew it i was just leaving the bowl out again.

I feed mine 1/4 can, 4 times a day... If i put the whole can out, it will get dry and he can't/won't eat it. Dogs love to clean his bowl for him though, lol!
He is not afraid to tell me when it is time to put food in his bowl. And, he thinks he needs to be fed when the dogs are fed. The 110 pound German Shepherd does not watch out for 8 pound cat when food is coming, the cat has been stepped on many times by the dog.
