My Chat

Right now barred rocks and EES.
Barred rocks:very calm,and gently.great for kids.my two lay large brown eggs.i have a 7 year old,and she still lays!

EEs:very sweet and quiet.but my little brownie is getting mean,:(.she lays small white eggs.

Oh and, white leg horn:my little Harriet,7 and a half weeks is such a spaz!she looks a little like a white turkey and has long legs.she is so cute!

I have a white leghorn too, her name is what's up and she is the top hen in my flock, I would have to say my favorite breed is the Blue Copper Maran. My BMC Named buzz was one of the first breeds that I had, she was very friendly and wasn't afraid of people at all, and she always followed me around, it was great!!

I like almost all breeds the same. I don't have a favorite because every bird is different and that's what I like about them all.

Here's a picture of all the girls (minus one comet)!

I raised six little balls of fluff to a flock of chickens! And time flies when you're raising chickens (that's right isn't it? Lol)! I have two leghorns, two black australorps, two speckled Sussex, but technically I have eight but my mom raised the two golden comets (five at the time, don't know what happened). My favorite is probably the black australorp for appearance, when she stands in the sun there is a greenish shine on her feathers. But for friendliness the speckled is the winner, when I stick my hand out to pet any other chicken they flap their wings and run but she just stands there and lets me pet her! Last but not least my leghorns are the best at laying we get four eggs a day two from them two from the comets! They are the only ones that are laying right now but it's still early for them.
