my chick drowned in my duck pool. I put a waddle board to go in for the ducks and I put bricks in the pool for the chicks to get out if they accidentally get in . I’ve had them out there together for weeks it seemed to be working fine, now I don’t know what to do

Chickens will drown in water you either need to remove the pool or move the chickens to a different coop

Well everyone on here told me they’ve had ducks and chickens together for years and never had one drown
Many are successfully doing it
I just need to know how? The ducks need the pool

I am very sorry for your loss. :hugs How big are the chicks now? You could remove the pool and replace it with several smaller containers.

These are pretty safe for larger chicks and deep enough for ducks to rinse their heads in, and some ducks will bathe in them.

I use them to but not when I have very young chicks my chicks were hatched first of May so they are use to pools an buckets of water and I still keep out chicken waterers but having a chick drown in a bucket has made me very
Paranoid.

I agree, do not use either of them with young chicks. Only use with chicks that can stand in them with their heads well above the water line.
