I think that looks ok. It’s going through its first molt and the heat wave probably sped it up. It looks fine to me given it’s in the ugly stage. As long as it can poop and acts normal, try not to worry about it. Good luck.

Naked necks (showgirl silkies) have even bigger butts. They stick out like that but even more, and don't get feathers back there. Sort of hideous actually until feathers start growing.
