My chick has fly larva on her hole body!

the mites/lice have a 100% chance of killing the chick. the dust is unlikely to kill her! a little warm running water with some flea/tick shampoo will do her good. then after she is dry (with a blow drier preferably) sprinkle some dust on her and rub it in good. her chances are slim, but this is the best and only thing you can do. also wash and dust the mother an hour or so off her eggs wont hurt anything. do the chick FIRST and keep it seperate from the mother until the mother is clear of all lice and mites.

Also thank you!

I see members of our silkie club often reporting they have success with adams flea spray (see link) for severe infestations like this (you will need to protect the eyes and nares > you can do this by putting a little sack around its head while sraying and then infusing a q-tip with the product and getting the head area using that ((can also use to ensure it gets through the down in those hard to reach areas like under the wing)
Take mamma off the (currently infested) nest and remove eggs to a completely different/newly made nest (use a cardboard box filled with shavings > you can use an electric blanket to cover the box to keep the nest eggs warm while treating mamma) treat mamma and when done she will go where the eggs are.

Remove EVERYTHING from that coop.. wash clean sanitize and treat AGRESSIVELY for mites/etc. >until you get that sorted out I would house the birds temporarily elsewhere.

Great info, I am going to write it down for when the inevitable infestation happens. I will also add Adams flea spray to my emergency kit. Thank you for posting this!

oops... forgot the link to the product (this page is from an internet source ...the products shown are available at various stores)
http://www.bullwrinkle.com/ShoppingPages/flea-spray.htm

I have my coops interior walls made of the long plastic wall/ceiling panels (the ones that slide into each other) that I got for a pittance at DIY store as a couple in the pack were damaged (also have on inside of roof) I used kit to glue it on once I had cut to size and not only is it easy to clean (you really cant sanitize wood)but it is great for dealing with those pests!

ETA: Here is a thread showing those panels (they look pretty poorly as these are recycled from an older coop )

Yes! They both have red mites on them! But, now they have another weird bug on them, they have these weird orange/red spider like creatures on them, a bit bigger then the mites, but still super creepy, they really don't mind going on you ether, the only other thing I have noticed is that the mites "don't" run away like normal mites when you touch them or move the feathers around, also, the chick isn't silky, she is Ameraucana/silky/six ling, the six ling has a different breed in her to, she has a little golden laced wyandotte in her, well, I've also noticed the mites are actually PULLING the skin up and making the skin very flaky and dusty looking, and also they are actually giving the mother hen wrinkles! I don't know how they're doing it, but they are pulling her skin up, and by doing that there giving her wrinkles!!

They wont go away! I CAN'T find the "seven" thing your all speaking about, I looked in horse n' buggie and they didn't have it, then I looked in my local farming store and they didn't have it ither, can anyone tell me a certain store I can go to, to get this "seven" treating dust? And the dust I was using was, Garden & Poultry Dust, I am going to feel so silly if this is the seven stuff, I used it on my other chickens that had mites/fleas/etc, and it worked fine, died the next day, not the chicken the mite things, BUT for some reason this time its not working,
