Yes! They both have red mites on them! But, now they have another weird bug on them, they have these weird orange/red spider like creatures on them, a bit bigger then the mites, but still super creepy, they really don't mind going on you ether, the only other thing I have noticed is that the mites "don't" run away like normal mites when you touch them or move the feathers around, also, the chick isn't silky, she is Ameraucana/silky/six ling, the six ling has a different breed in her to, she has a little golden laced wyandotte in her, well, I've also noticed the mites are actually PULLING the skin up and making the skin very flaky and dusty looking, and also they are actually giving the mother hen wrinkles! I don't know how they're doing it, but they are pulling her skin up, and by doing that there giving her wrinkles!!
They wont go away! I CAN'T find the "seven" thing your all speaking about, I looked in horse n' buggie and they didn't have it, then I looked in my local farming store and they didn't have it ither, can anyone tell me a certain store I can go to, to get this "seven" treating dust? And the dust I was using was, Garden & Poultry Dust, I am going to feel so silly if this is the seven stuff, I used it on my other chickens that had mites/fleas/etc, and it worked fine, died the next day, not the chicken the mite things, BUT for some reason this time its not working,
Not "seven" SEVIN it's for killing bugs, here's the thing, if you don't get the ALL off the chick, it's dead anyways, so go get some and treat them, it's sold as both a dust and a spray, either will work, but if you don't do it now, the rest of the chicks will die too.

I also use mixed into the wood shaving of the hen house Permacetrin dust form the local Co-op
or Sevin garden dust from Walmart or TSC
