Can you peep at the chick? Mine responded to my noises with their own peeps and chirps.

My chick is sort of the opposite? He'll only chirp when I'm not there and that's what he's not doing right now and it's making me more and more worried.

I don't think they did.
Here are some updates they posted in a different thread:

We actually kept hearing him chirp yesterday for like 30 minutes and hasn't since. We still can't find the poor buddy...

(That was July 18, the same day as many of the posts in this thread)

Since it's been two days and nothing has happened, we think he died.

(That was July 20, two days later.)
