I have an EE chick and I went to go check on the eggs under my broody and it's hatching! A hen a little while ago kicked my broody off her nest and stepped on the egg, causing a crack on the bottom of the egg. I sealed it up with liquid skin and hoped for the best.

Now it's hatching on the top of the egg and I'm worried it'll drown. It hasn't gotten very far so should I wait overnight and see? Should I peel a little bit of the shell and membrane away so it can breathe and I'll leave it alone?

It takes longer for a chick if it pips on the wrong end, should be fine, but you can make the pip a little bigger to make sure it can breathe, just remove a little bit of the shell!

When I had a chick pip wrong I just removed a small amount of shell and pierced the membrane. Then I left it alone.
That egg needed assistance but I only assisted after it became very clear that it needed help.
