what do i do my gold sexlink isnt walking or using her legs and her toes are not moving whats wrong? she was fine before i left now she isnt walking? what happened!! im so scared i dont want to lose another and she is only like 4 days old please help!!!!!!

how many have you lost? where did you get her? Could she be dehydrated? Try a sugar water solution in an eye dropper type thing and drip some in her mouth. What is the temp in the brooder? I think it should be 90*.

its around 90 degrees and she is eating great and we have a sugar water in there for them i have only lost one because he was the smallest and wasnt able to recovery from the jounrey they came from ideal there where 22 13 hens and she isnt walking and im scared now i have one that can walk but doesnt want to and doesnt eat or drink i dont know what to do i have now seperated th roosters fro mthe females just because of the space maybe that will help but i just dont know i dont want her to die i cant afford to loose a pullet she was just fine could her legs be broke??

the one that won't eat or drink boil it an egg and mash it up real small get som vitamin water and put with it sometimes you have to make them drink water by dipping their beaks in it. just keep trying to dip it and try to feed it boiled egg sometimes the chick starter is too big for them , we have had to grind it up smaller in order for some to eat it.

ate a few bites now and again and the other one that wasnt eating or drinking is now the fiestly little one um the sexlink is still not walking but is eatign and drinking good and is trying to walk but i think it has a broken toe so thats why she doesnt want to walk and everyone i wanna thank you for caring so so much about any and everything

I had some RIRs from Ideal do the same thing, never grew away from the "egg" shape they have as young chicks, quit moving around and died....

If she's not up and around tommorrow, maybe you could try a hobble with a bandaid and also tape her toe as well to give it a chance to heal?

she is moving around just she really wants to walk just its a little painful for her so and ya we are gonna see what she does tonight then if she isnt walking we are gonna put her toe in a splint
