One out of the seven chicks who I had hatched with deformed feet and will not eat anything. The foot problem is already being addressed from help here. She is wearing adorable little shoes.

However, she still won't eat anything. She has been hatched for about 28 hours now, so there is still time.

Is there any way of feeding her? I'm afraid she may not make it..

She does a lot of peeping and resting with her head down. She even dumped herself in the water dish once. (Its very shallow, so she can't drown herself. ) Now that she has shoes, she can walk about a bit easier. But not very often.

Thanks.

So he is not eating because he doesn't have to? The other chicks eat and drink a bit.

Some chicks are "special" - they ride the small bus. Keep dipping the beak in the water and then the food so some of it sticks on her beak. This worked for me with one I had that just didn't get it.

i had to feed my little one by herself.. i mixed hard boiled yolk with crumbles and vitamin enriched water made a soft soggy feed mash.. took about 5 days of day and night feeding and she is thriving now

You could also try dipping your finger in the water, then the crumbles, so some of the crumbles get wet and stick to your finger. The chick might peck the wet crumbles off your finger. I did that with my sleepy EE chick the first day.
Good luck with your chicks!
