MY chicken cant stand!

I went outside today and my hen was behind the coop, her head was bloody and wet. I picked her up and took her inside and cleaned her head up, but now that I set her down she can't seem to get her balance and can't really walk, so she just sits down.
I have a new rooster that is about 4 1/2 months old. Could he have done this? Its the first rooster that I've had.
What should I do?

It is possible rooster did damage. In my experience usually when such happens in an established flock something was already wrong with victim. Isolate damaged bird and see how it recovers.

It sounds like shock. She'll stand when she recovers, most likely.
