With zero experience, my DH John started building the coop for me, and I painted. It's not done yet but its getting there. All that needs to be done now is the roof, ramp, and a place for them to roost inside the coop.
I am currently putting together an article but I can't contain my own excitement!
There are many mistakes, imperfections (the front door doesnt wanna lock sometimes) but for no experience what-so-ever, I am pretty proud of DH.
It's located in an area that gets shade all day. Here in California, summers are easily in the 100's, so it's a pretty ideal location.
