My chicken has started attacking me?

I would wash her face with plenty of soap and water and apply generous amount of a triple antibiotic such as Neosporin, don't let her stay in the sun until few weeks after it heals, otherwise it will leave marks. On regards the chicken, if you know the one that did it, I would make a nice stock, or not allowing the children in her coop, and more than anything do not hatch any of her eggs...

Poor kiddo! I'd get rid of that chicken fast. I had one who started acting aggressive. I tried everything I could think of to teach that stupid bird to behave. Nothing worked. Had to shot the dumb thing. Both my daughter and I have scars from it....not worth it. Also not worth having your kid be scared of chickens in general. Took my daughter weeks before she'd stop crying whenever a chicken ran up to greet us.

My daughter is 10. She is okay but I hope she won't be afraid of chickens now. She feeds them all the time. I did exactly as you suggested. Hope her face does not scar.

I have had my RIR since she was a chick. This is my favorite hen. She has never done this before. I think she is ths way b/c we got a puppy that was attacking the chickens. I guess this put them on the defensive. My daughter was bending over looking at a bug and the chicken just attacked. I have been going out with the dogs to make sure they don't hurt the chicken s and the dogs were Not out at the time. :(

Not sure what to do at this point.:(

I recently started raising chickens I have 6 hens approximately 4 months old . Handled them as they got older petting cher with no issues. No rooster and Bella has taken on the dominant role and she lets out this crow sound in the morning and is the watcher of the girls . Cher who is an americana I noticed is trying to make her way up the pecking order amongst the other hens chest bumping with bella and jumping on the back of dot and pushing her to the ground and bullying the other girls . Anyway in the last week when I let them out I noticed Cher was puffing her feathers and side checking (bumping) my leg and pecks at me then runs away. She's done this a few times in the last few days But today I let them out she ran out and sneaked attacked me (ran back) and pecked my calf and drew blood and again she puffed her feathers bumping into me. I think she's trying to dominate me lol(thats not going to happen ) Any suggestions why she's doing this and how do I get her to stop this behavior. And no I really dont think making Coq Au Vin is the answer. Looking forward to suggestions and understand this behavior

One of my females is getting aggressive towards me too. I have to reach in to get the waterer and when I get close she stands tall and starts to what I call growl at me and once she tried to scratch me but I pushed her away and another she attacked my glove and wouldn't let go so I pushed her away again.

I throw feed in before I go in to get the water thing so I can distract them but she is usually standing the closest to me.
