My chicken is gasping for air, has a stopped nose and is sneezing

I saw this poor chicken outside and it was not really moving so I brought it to my house and brought it in. Its nose had crust all over it and I used a warm water to get it off, but I seem to still be cleaning the poor baby’s beak everyday. Ita also gasps for air and it sneezes too. It’s moving around my room and is alert sometimes, but I can’t seem to get this chicken 100% okay. Any advice will help

I'm thinking respiratory. you can put a bit of vicks vaporub on her beak to help her breath a bit better until you can find a cure. good luck! <3

hi! my chickens did the same thing a few weeks ago . i think its a viral infection. i gave mine antibiotics (not sure dosage or whatever) and that seamed to help a lot! i would give antibiotics to the whole flock, because others may have it as well! best of luck to your flock!!!

You may need to trim some of the feathers away from the eyes so she can see better.

The beak is overgrown, so giving it a shaping up by gently filing it may be helpful.

There's crust in the nostrils - is it mucous or could it be that food is getting stuck in the nostrils and clogging it up, this will cause sneezing in an attempt to clear the nostrils.

Any other symptoms like coughing, watery eyes, facial swelling, etc?

See if the bird can move around better once able to see.

It’s not food it was discharge, but she has no facial swelling. She seemed to be doing better today.

She is actually moving a lot more she is still sounding like she is stopped up even when I clean the mucous from her beak. I believe she is getting better she used to not really sleep during the night but now they have been more active during the day and been sleeping at night. Will post pictures tomorrow!

Sorry I was busy yesterday cause of the holidays but here she is! She is definitely doing a lot better! Hardly any mucous and is having a blast in my room!
