I have a hen who for over the time I had her just could not stop having temper tantrums. She would cry and whine and moan and scream for no reason all day. She was broody for the longest time so I gave her some chicks... She was happy until they grew up to a certain point... They still want her but she doesn't really care she just runs around steals food and generally doesn't care anymore. It's driving me crazy because the chicks seemed to calm her down. I locked her in the bathroom and she's banging on it like a child

It makes it worse because I have another Hen screaming because she wants me to take her to the spot they lay eggs, but unlike a normal Hen she's not happy until I move her to several different locations and then finally back to the nest she lays at. This is going to happen over the next two hours. It's a mission to calm them down every morning.

Sounds like normal chickens. Do they go outside? Chickens need to scratch and forage all day to feel fulfilled.

Most hens do make egg laying a dramatic event. To them it's giving birth, so where they lay is important to them for the safety of any future offspring. It doesn't matter to them that they won't hatch every egg laid. They only follow their instincts.

None of my other chickens do this. They are SO TAME. When Sunshine came she started messing my flock up

Spoiled much ?
Yes, they are spoiled. That is true. It's just crazy because my chickens are so tamed. My chickens paint a new picture of what a chicken is lol. Then sunshine is like what you think of a chicken. She calms down as long as she doesn't see me. If she sees me she runs up to me and screams. I just thought maybe something was wrong? She's always screaming like she's miserable or in pain? They spend about 12 hours outside free ranging and I bring them inside to sleep in their cages and stuff. It's not even like she's just making noise just for fun. It's like she's miserable and sad but I wouldn't be able to understand why??? Maybe she hates my face

Sounds like normal cackling to me. Mine spend the whole morning going from nest box to nest box loudly venting their frustration of not liking the first till they finally lay in the spot that they usually lay everyday. Then they loudly announce they laid an egg. I find the girls more vocal than the boys.
What I’m confused about is why are you carrying your chicken to the nesting areas and why are they in the bathroom? Are they house chickens?
