I am so sorry to read about your loss. If it is any help my Rhode Island Red was attacked by a bird of prey twice. It took her at least a couple of weeks to calm down to normal again. She crawled around on her stomach for several days as though crouching. I didn't know what to do. WHen checked, she appeared not to have any cuts , but she needed time to heal in her own time. She didn't have a broken wing, but certainly it affected her normal spirit. Gradually she got over it and started to behave lovingly towards me again. But seriously, no amount of coaxing would make her feel better. She was definitely in chicken shock hiding under anything and everything. I guess all birds behave differently. She has been the only one to do this stomach crawl, so please don't worry too much. This particular bird simply needed time to heal. I left food and water where I found she liked hiding most (talking to her in a reassuring tone), and left her to it.
