I could really use some advice.
One of my 4 chooks (a Barter Black) is going very bald, very quickly, including the loss of virtually all her tail feathers.
She had recently been through her first bout of brooding and moulted a bit then, but has come out of the brooding a couple of weeks ago, and in the last few days the run is covered in her feathers.
It's very hot here in Sydney, but they have plenty of water and dust bath opportunities, and the other 3 are fine.
There doesn't appear to be any sign of the others bullying her, or of her pulling her own feathers out.
I've checked her skin for parasites (couldn't find any) and rashes or anything untoward (nothing). Just stubs where her feathers used to be. Her comb is also fine, her feet aren't hot, she's not sweating.
Should I be concerned or is this part of the hot season and/or the end of her moulting?
