My chicken is making a honk noise when she breathes.

Did y’all ever find out what it is? I also have an EE who’s been doing this at varying degrees for the past few weeks, but it seems much worse after all the rain & moistness. I also have a chicken who’s doing the gaping associated with gape worm, but all other 12 chickens seem perfectly healthy & thriving.

It's the heat, not gapeworm. Also, chickens sometimes gape, they are adjusting their crop.

Mine has been doing the same thing today! I watched the video and it is pretty much the same noise. It's cool here, around 50 degrees. She makes a loud honk/squeak intermittently as well. The flock seems weirded out by it too. I'm really curious as to what it is. Maybe it is just stuck food in her throat? My girls free range so who knows what they'll end up eating. I'll post her progress.

It only lasted about a day and then went away. Everyone was doing great and healthy.
