Ok... that sounds really weird but have you heard those little toy "mooing" cans? That is EXACTLY what my EE sounded like - every time she took a breath... it was like she was snoring. She could control the volume of it and occasionally stopped altogether but for only short periods. She seems fine in all other ways - no runny nose, no gasping or panting, she's eating and drinking and still flying up to the high roost (about 4.5') we have in the pen. She is about 23-25 weeks old... could this be a sign she's about to lay her first egg?
Just in case it was the beginnings of some respiratory issue, I sprinkled a bit of VetRx under the roost in the coop last night and this morning she is no longer making any noise and still seems quite happy - no eggs, though.
Any thoughts?
