My chicken is not getting up and I don't know what to do

Its been a few days and one my hens won't come out of its nesting area and when I try to pick it up it just makes a sound and don't think it's drinking or eating and i don't have a roaster

Could be broody. You don't need a rooster for that. Can you post a picture of her? How exactly is she acting - sounds, etc?

You're probably right.

A broody bird will act cranky if you mess with it.
They won't eat or drink much but they will do so enough to stay alive.
If it is broody and you don't have fertile eggs to give it, the best course is to break its broodiness by suspending it in a wire bottom cage too allow cool air to reach its underside.
