Sorry for your loss. If you get more chickens, I would make sure they are vaccinated for Mareks just in case, and have 2-3 weeks to build immunity before coming into your flock. Your chicken with the strange neurological conditions could have wry neck or encephaolmalcia from a vitamin deficiency or an injury, but can also be a sign of Mareks and any infection that causes brain inflammation. I would make sure the feed bags bought are as fresh as possible, and use some poultry vitamins (especially B1 or thiamine, E, and selenium) in the water.
