My chicken is panting, lethargic, and has a poopy butt

My chicken was fine yesterday, has been eating, drinking, laying eggs, and normal energy. Today I found her with her feathers all fluffed out, a poopy butt, panting, lethargic, and uninterested in her favorite snacks. I have given her an Epsom Salt bath and put Vetricyn on her beak. Any suggestions of what could be going on or what else I can do?


Never mind, she just passed.

I'm sorry to hear about your hen.

It can be hard to know why she died. Perhaps she was egg bound? If you want to find out more, you can refrigerate the body and take/send it to your state lab for analysis.
