I brought her inside here is a photo.
The wound is starting to smell bad....is that a bad sign?

A bad smell is never a good thing, Do you have her on any antibiotics? Sounds to me like she needs a vet.

When was the last time you washed the wound? You should be washing it well every day. If you don’t have anything else you can use liquid dish soap and water.
Pat dry afterwards and use a blow dryer to dry the birds feather completely.

After getting it cleaned up, carefully snip away any feathers that are touching the wound. Then the wound should be coated with triple antibiotic ointment. Apply this twice or three times each day.
The wound needs to be kept moist while it’s healing or the tissue will become necrotic and die.

The issue of a broken bone inside is very worrisome to me.

Is there a vet in your area that treats birds? Does your family have a vet for your other pets? Sometimes a vet that doesn’t normally treat chickens, will help some if you are already a client. This isn’t always the case though.

You can google vets in the area by using the words “exotic animal veterinarians” +tour zipcode or the name of your town or city.

Can you describe the smell? I’m no expert, but now that you have her inside and on clean bedding you might want to go back a few pages and follow some of the directions there on cleaning the wound again (not with peroxide) and trimming back the feathers around it so the more knowledgeable folks here can help you address it.

Praying for you and your girl! You will need to take some steps in treating her if she is able to heal... chickens are tough, from what I’ve seen in other posts, but the severity of the injury needs to be assessed.

Also not tonight, but tomorrow you can replace the straw bedding with something less messy like just an old towel or puppy pads if you have them (but don’t go out and buy them) or newspaper.
Shavings or straw get everywhere and can contaminate the wound.
