My chicken keeps pecking at my boots and pants pockets. Any idea why?

My Red Sex Link has been a great chicken for a long time and has never done this she is roughly 9 months old. But one day when I was sitting in a chair watching them in their run, she kept trying to rip off my pant pockets. She wouldn't stop. She now pecks at my boots when she gets close enough. I've never seen this behavior before in her. Any suggestions?

That is odd behavior. She might be thinking your boots or pocket is something she can eat. I'm sure soon she'll stop and move on to something.

She could also be becoming head hen and showing some aggression...if you have an all female flock.

Chickens peck everything.....I have a Speckled Sussex that follows me around....She comes into the Coop when I clean the sand and chats away and pecks and scratches.....She pecks my back, shoes,the pail as I clean...She is NOT dominant in my flock....She is just inquisitive.......
