So my chicken berta layed her first egg today and now she is clucking on and off its just weird beacuse I haven't seen her do this is it normal?

Yes, that is normal. Hens will usually cackle after laying an egg, and will also (at least in my experience) often begin making clucking noises.

Thanks I didn't really know I just started raising chickens and I was a little scared I am around my chickens. A lot and never heard them do that my other girls didn't do it

I have a Columbian Wyandotte large-fowl, a Silver-Laced Wyandotte large-fowl, an Easter Egger, a Rhode Island Red large-fowl, a few White Wyandotte Bantams, and a few Light-Brown Dutch Bantams. I several Dutch Bantam roosters, and two Wyandotte bantam roosters. All of them are tame, beautiful, and enjoyable to keep.
