Ok so I woke up and my power went out and I kept my chickens in and it was like 1:00 and I look at my chicken and his eye is swollen and I picked him up and opened his eye and there was no eye what should I do it is closed the eyelid and my mom says it won't get infected should I put him down or just put eye infection and ahead of time thanks for the feedback

Are you sure the eye is gone? A respiratory illness can cause pus and swelling and it covers the eye so you can't see the eyeball. By squeezing out the pus from around the eye, it will let him see again as well as help the eye infection to heal.

:welcome sorry for the problem. Ophthalmic antibiotic if you have it or antibiotic ointment should be applied to the eye.

No its gone i

You don't have to put it under.

I would wrap its body in a towel so it can't flap and have another person help you hold it down on a table. Be firm holding its body, but obviously gentle around the head. Flush it out with saline, then do your best to apply the ointment like @sourland said.
Birds are resilient, it should be fine. :)
