Hi everyone. I am a anal retentive freak when it comes building new projects. I built this chicken coop not realizing how far I would go. Take a look and tell me if I went over board.

To me, that's over board, but I've seen even more overboard chicken coops. I don't understand the people that have white walls that stay white and curtains in their chicken coops. I'm thinking that you just plain have a gourgous coop that would be a lot of chickens' envy.
A slight idea, keep building coops that look like that and sell them! If I was rich, I would want to buy this coop here! I really think that you should build these and sell them! You could get rich off from chicken coops!

It’s funny you say that it’s overboard because it’s a chicken coop. I try to be practical in every way when it comes to my chickens except their healthcare and when it comes to the coop. I think a gorgeous chicken coop adds appeal to a house whereas a roughshod coop built only for practicality could be an eyesore.

I am totally guilt of curtains in the coop and they are chicken themed

Thank you everyone. A lot of the material in the coop, I already had and I did purchase some of it. It's not about economics to me, it's about sustainability. I did get the idea on line and they do build and sell them all over the states and they do get a lot of money for them. It probably would freak you out if you knew how much. I am fortunate that I can do things like this. I have had several request to build some for them but it is not my desire to do that.
