It's insane how much a bird can change in just half a year. He's a good boy even though he sounds like he's being strangled when he crows.

Oh, those early crows! I thought for sure that something was terribly wrong with my Billy Boy -- a Blue Bantam Cochin -- when he first found his voice.

Now he and Sir Henry the Loud, a mature Iowa Blue in a nearby coop, take turns having a "crow-off" every morning. Billy Boy may not be as loud, but he is every bit as enthusiastic and at about 10 months old, sounds totally "normal."

Your boy is lovely!

Awww i just got a silkie roo last night, he’s something else. I’ve never had a roo and that early morning screech is it for Me ( sorry neighbors!) hes so sweet and doesn’t go after anything but my original girls. His names little man
