My chicken sang the egg song!

Egg song?? my girls have been more vocal,got my first egg today.my chicks were hatched in april

The egg song is something like this... bawk bawk begaw. I have yet to hear it and weve gotten 5 eggs in 7 days! But that doesnt mean my BA hasnt sang it. Mine dont seem to get loud unless something scares them... like my kids haha! Look it up on youtube, just search egg song!

Once they start to squat and you no when they do this as they stop dead on the spot and their bum goes down and their wings out a little but once they start doing this it will be a couple days or a week and they will start to lay once one of mine started the others followed suit pretty sharpish!

I had briefly read of the stop and squat thing about 2 weeks ago. Then a week ago my Buff Polish LF did it right in front of me! I was like a deer in headlights! What a proud moment. I bought my chicks at 3 days old and they're 5.5 months now. Its the first yr I haven't lost
chicks to coons. Anxiously waiting and checking everyday!

Egg song? What is the egg song, I never heard of that. If mine sang it then I missed it because I found 4 eggs today. Time for me to start checking everyday.

You need to go to YouTube and search hens egg song or just egg song there are several videos. Some are so cute! It got me pumped two of my red stars are singing and spending a lot of their day in the coop as oppose to out in the run. So we are close.

hxgumdrop, they're almost in harmony! lol What kind of hens are those, btw? Very pretty girls. I am waiting for our first egg song, maybe another few weeks. The anticipation is exhausting....

My one rsl did this for a few days and today i got my first egg from her. My one tetra so far has laid 8 eggs in a three week period, mine are all only 17 weeks old
