Greedy pig, treat -stealing, oinkers does not even begin to describe their behavior. BUT they are the only two laying with the short daylight hours so I suppose I will forgive them for now.


Glad we don't have scorpions in Iowa! But I bet they would eat them if we did.

Good chicken! I have two that blocked my path and prevented me from stepping on a juvenile rattler (at least that's what I think it was, I wasn't going to get close enough to check). I never thought I'd be protected by chickens.

That's scarry! And the scorpion didn't hurt her when she ate it?

No they don't hurt them if it is a regular scorpion. The Arizona Bark Scorpion is a different story though. If they can kill it quick enough they are okay but occasionally if the bark scorpion stings them you will have to give benedryl. This particular scorpion was not a bark scorpion or I would not have called them to it.
