I have 7 month old New Hampshire Red chicken and I was feeding her some bird seed and she started to almost choke. She kept sneezing and had her mouth opened and a couple minutes later I noticed her eyes started foaming. I wiped it off and tried giving her some water but she didn’t drink any, she kept like coughing/sneezing for a little bit now. Her eyes haven’t foamed any more but she seems a little off and she keeps coughing/sneezing. And help or tips with what is happening and what I should do would be gratefully appreciated!

Welcome To BYC

Where are you located in the world?
Have you looked inside her beak to make sure there's no seeds or food stuck in her airway and that her nostrils are not clogged up?

Have you ever had any chickens that had any respiratory illness like coughing/sneezing or bubbles in the eyes?

She may have aspirated some food if this is the only incident. I would keep watch on her for a day or so to see if her symptoms resolve on their own. If she worsens, then you may be dealing with illness instead of aspiration/stridor.

Jersey. No I haven’t checked if anything was clogged. None of my other hens have ever had foam in the eye. It seems to only happen when it eats really tiny grainy food. She’s a pig and will eat more than she can fit in her beak, I just have never seen one foam at the eye and it’s stressing me out😂

She may be low in pecking order and is trying to eat as much and as fast as she can before the others run her off.

Scatter treats so all have a chance. Consider not giving the tiny seeds at all.
It's possible that she got a seed in her eye and that caused irritation/bubbling. I would re-check the eye tomorrow to make sure it's not bubbling, has a discharge or looks irritated. If it is, then flush with saline and see if there's any debris that needs to be removed.
