My chicken skips, problem or just fun?

Hey everyone,
I have seen one of our girls(buff orpington named Bo Peep) skipping when running. She walks normal, and doesn't act injured, but when she gets some speed she starts to skip almost as if shes limping. We've checked her legs and there doesn't seem to be injuries. Any thoughts?

Thanks!

They do sort of skip/fly when they really get going. I have one that did get a pretty bad injury to her hip joint when she was a chick due to an attack. She skips only on one leg sometimes when it's bothering her but the rest of the time she moves just like the rest of them.

We have a funny Wyadotte that skips when she's trying to catch the gate open. My young pullets haven't been allowed to free roam yet. I usually wait until they are all laying well so I don't have them sneaking off into the woods.

Lulu likes to skip around the fence trying to sneak behind you to escape.

It's really cute! My son started saying "skip skip skip to my loo," and her name was decided. If they don't appear to have any distress or no visable injury I usually wait to see if it's just a quirk in their personalities. All of our chickens have been named due to their unique personalities. Rosie Red has a floppsy head that she likes to make flip flop when she's trying to get my sons attention. He usually has something she would like to eat.
