My chicken wont leave the nesting box.

For the past 3 days my australorp won't leave the nesting box. I'm worried! She is only a year old and she's acting like a mother hen... (no rooster, by the way)
 
Broodiness is hormone driven, and occurs with our without a rooster in the flock. Unless you want to obtain fertile eggs orr newly hatched chicks for her out is best to "break " her broodiness. There are many ways to do that, i favor a wire bottom cage that is elevated too maximize air flow under the hen.
