My chickens acting weird

So I have 3 hens and when I went to check on them tonight, 2 of the hens were sleeping outside on the roosting place. Usually they go into their coop nest and sleep but tonight they were laying down outside in the run. Is it normal because they don’t usually sleep there. So then I pick them up and put them in the coop since there might be raccoons

How old are they, in weeks or months?
How big is your coop?

Did it get dark before it normally does that they didn't make it into the coop on time to see where to go?

They are laying eggs like 5-6months.

Yeah it was dark but one of my other chickens were in the coop. Also they were laying down outside on the roosting bar in the run
