i have it hanging on a post/limb in the run. i fill it every morning with treats and it keeps them occupied for a while. today i put kale and a banana in it. when it gets hot out i fill it with frozen broccoli and and they pick at it while it thaws. it is easy to load, no mess, it hold the food for them and it keeps them busy and thinking.

i would def recommend it to anyone having problems getting their chickens to eat. put something interesting to them in there and let them pick at it.

I like this idea. Yay chicken entertainment! Can they get everything out, or are there bits of food left in it when they're done?

Oh the possibilities are endless, really!

Frozen (or not) strawberries, weeds (I have tried stuffing mine with dandelions and chickweed, they loved it!), watermelon rinds with a little tasty stuff still on there...anything that will fit!

I like the frozen broccoli idea. That may be what I offer as my garden broccoli looks well, a little challenged this year!

Ok I am not incredibly creative, but my suet feeder is filled with.....well....suet. I found a high protein brand and they seem to love it. It takes about 1-2 weeks for them to finish off one one block.

I love the idea of putting in other foods. I have an extra one lying around here somewhere. I will give it a try. Thanks.
