WHen you wing clip just do one wing on each bird. A bird with ne wing clipped will be unbalanced and unable to loft. A bird with both wings clipped will be able to loft as it is still balanced but it will just have to work harder 'cuz it has smaller wings. It is making the wings unbalanced that keeps them on the ground.
