My Chickens are dying

My chicken are growing white fluffy feathers and one has already died.

Those feathers are the downy ones just beneath the hard feathers you normally see. I doubt they have anything to do with what killed your chicken.

If you will give us some more information about your flock, what you feed them, how old they are, how many, where they free-range, if they do, where you got your chickens, how are they acting? Sick or normal? Your climate/location? we might be able to help you figure this out.
 
+1 to downy feathers. Coukd be molting a bit. Do any of them exhibit any symptoms? How about the one that died? Sadly, chickens can did unexpectedly. But, as azygous pointed out, with more information, we can probably help you tweak things to help the rest of your flock, if needed.
