My chickens are dying!!!!

Were raising chickens in our home.Recently some of the chickens are dying.Some of the common characteristics is that they die suddenly.One of the instances is that in the morning none of them show any worrying signs and symptoms,yet in the evening they die suddenly.Their eyes turns white.Help.I don't know if I have to take any measures.What should I do??

I may be confused but you are raising adult chickens in your home, is that what you mean?

What breed and age are they? Are any laying eggs?

What feed are they on?

How many do you have and how many have died? Over how many days has this been happening?

Eyes of dead animals cloud over within Six hours of death, at least in mammals birds may be faster, probably normal post mortem change. How many birds have died, how many total, age and housing? I’d lean towards either a toxin (feed, air, water or something in the environment (toxic plant growing into the coop or an old battery they found to peck at) or some nasty virus (virulent strain of avian influenza or west Nile?) or bacteria (clostridium, E. coli, salmonella). Any recent changes in environment or feed or water or exposure to new animals/birds/wildlife?

A total of 4 chickens have died within a period of 1week.They are in the same coop,and the environment is still the same as before

We are raising both adult and young chickens.The chickens are of different breeds.soya,maize germ,bran and fish grinded together.We have a total of 24 chickens excluding the 4 which died.This have happened over a period of 1 week.

If I could ask, where do you live as I'm not familiar with that way of feeding chickens. Here, having different ages, you could have them on an all-flock type feed and supplement calcium for the hens via oyster shell we can buy in a bag.

In this case, could it be the feed? Again, I'm not familiar with it so maybe it's fine, but have you raised other chickens on this same food just fine before this?

Nutritional issues would not present as sudden death. Low fertility, deformed chicks, low egg production, weird eggs, skinny or fat birds, slow feather or muscle growth…slow onset , long term problems not sudden death unless you add strychnine or something.

Which birds are dying, any commonalities in age, breed, genetics, layer vs meat breed, size, any correlation between them or just random?
