My chickens are eating bird seed off the ground

I suppose it is possible. I know my birds refused to eat when I switched them from crumbles to pellets once, but after 2 days they realized they weren't getting anything else and ate it.

I had no problems switching feed after that point, but now I feed fermented grains so I don't change food anymore.

Once they realize that there is nothing else for dinner they will eat.
