My chickens are eating feathers! Yikes!

A good protein boost for chickens is either pig or hog chow, commercial catfish food, kibbles dog food, and some types of meal like blood meal, fish meal, bone meal, shrimp meal or meat byproduct meal. In small flock settings a can of good dog food will do wonders for chickens.

As for feeding boiled eggs that is perfectly acceptable but why go to the trouble to peel a boiled egg that you are just going to feed to your hens anyway, why not crush it up and give it to you birds shell and all????

I thought you didn't have to refrigerate unwashed eggs.

Eggs stay fresher in the fridge than they do on the counter. The non chill thing about eggs got started in France while the French government was trying to make sure that the French public was buying enough eggs to keep the french egg farmers in brie. A few spoiled eggs were good for the French egg producers because it resulted in more eggs going into the trash and higher prices for fresh eggs.
