Well, until recently. My 4 " girls" had a nice clean roomy 10 x 10 caged chicken run attached to their coop and seemed quite happy. They even have some perches they can go up and plenty of mulch to search for goodies. Now I am in the process of building them a covered area in our back yard so they can go free and have more room. So, I build a fence already and secured everything except for the top wire mesh in order to protect them from hawks. A few days ago we let them go out under supervision to roam and they loved it. Wellllll ! LOL NOW, you should see, well, I should say hear them. They now scream and throw tantrums to get out. And if we don't do what they want, hell breaks loose. It will take me a couple of weeks to build this head over wire mesh. Now I panic that the neighbours will get pissed off. LOL I never knew that chickens could have such an attitude. LOL Anybody out there who had such an experience?
