*Cochins- bantam or standard both are expert brooders.
*Silkies- Of course

* Old English Game- Have never had one, but hear that they are very good setters
*Brahma- These are beautiful and extremely friendly birds. Also my current broody. She is a first time brooder and is VERY young so im hoping for the best
*Buff Orpingtons- Never had one, but hear they are good mommas
*Black Australorp- I have had one go broody twice this year she was a pretty good mom she is also one of my best layers
*Aseel or(Asil)- I am planning on getting a hen this spring and have done alot of research and they sound pretty broody. I read one post where somebody said that her Aseel was a better broody hen than her silkies!
