my chickens aren't getting into the nest boxes!!

I keep one golf ball in the nest I want my chicken to lay in. I switched it into a different nest when they decided to sleep in the nest she was laying eggs in....and she switched to laying in the nest the golf ball was switched to.
You may want to try that or plastic eggs...mine took the hint even when she first started laying.
