I have a Welsummer pullet, roughly 5 months old. (I've had her for 2 months now)
She has been limping since we got her (got the pair from an auction...the other hen grew up gorgeously) but she has been eating, drinking, playing and sunbathing like the others, and I didn't think it was a problem.
Until today, she didn't come out when I opened the door for everyone. She was in a corner, her head spinning like she was dizzy. Her eyes seemed to have a glaze, and I waved my finger infront of her eye, and no reaction. I picked her up, also no reaction, a couple quiet clucks. I tried showing her the water, but I didn't think she could see. After 10 mins she finally did get a drink, but she was sticking her whole beak in...like she can't judge the surface of the water.
I'm concerned, I hate to see her like this. I don't understand if it is a connection between her leg...or something completely different. Any ideas?
