My chickens comb has turned yellow! Frostbite?

In the Chicken Run
I went out to water/feed my chickens this morning and my leghorns top part of his comb (usually red) had turned yellow! He was not like this before and the pics of frostbite I have seen had been black, not yellow... It has gotten into like -5 degrees here so I figure it must have something to do with the cold?

If you have any thoughts please let me know what I can do!

The heat lamps are supposed to be at least 18 inches from the tops of their heads if you reread my post--more is better. Mine hang from a 6 foot height, and are only used when temps are below10 F. I have never found vaseline to be a good preventative.
 
Well, we all try....?

I do know what works for my Birds and what works for friends with Birds..........I come from Very Cold temps in Winter........Just trying to help the OP with their Birds.......
