! Pleased you joined us! Thin shelled eggs may not be from a lack of grit but from a lack of calcium. Grit goes to the gizzard and is primarily for grinding up the food they eat. Calcium is what hardens the shells. This is commonly used in the form of oyster shell which can be purchased at the farm and ranch store - this will get those shells toughen right up - don't expect for it work overnight, however. Might take a few days. Good luck to you.

Hello and welcome from Ohio....so glad you joined BYC

I just added extra oyster shell to my feeders this morning before work since finding a few thin shelled eggs yesterday. It always fixes them right up in a few days.

Thankyou to all that replayed to my request , the grit I use is mixed grit I will get some oyster grit thanks for your help to all
